The Research Lab supports NBA, NFL, and NHL.Use the League Selector at the top right of the dashboard to switch between sports. All analysis tools will automatically update to reflect the selected league’s data and metrics.
Analysis Modes
Switch between different analysis modes using the tabs at the top:1. 👤 Player Analysis
Analyze individual player performance against specific prop lines.- Performance Trend: Visual chart of the player’s performance over time.
- Momentum (Rolling Hit Rate): See if a player is heating up or cooling down over a 10-game window.
- Advanced Probability: Our proprietary model that combines:
- Implied Probability: Derived from sportsbook odds.
- Statistical Probability: Based on historical hit rates.
- DvP Adjustment: Weighted boost/penalty based on opponent defense.
- Recent Form: Extra weight given to the last 5-10 games.
2. 🛡️ Defense vs. Position (DvP)
Identify favorable matchups by analyzing how teams defend specific positions.- Rankings: See where a team ranks (1st = Best Defense, 32nd = Worst Defense) against specific stats (e.g., “Rank 28th vs Point Guards in Assists”).
- Stat-Specific: Drill down into specific categories like Rebounds, Threes Allowed, or Touchdowns.
3. 🔀 Correlation Analysis & Simulator
Discover correlated outcomes and simulate “What If” scenarios.- Scenario Simulator: Use interactive sliders to see how a “Driver Stat” (e.g., Luka Points) impacts other stats (e.g., Kyrie Assists).
- Correlation Matrix: A heatmap showing the strength of relationships between different stat categories.
- Scatter Plots: Visual evidence of correlation strength over the last 20 games.

The Lab automatically generates insights based on the selected player and filters:- 🔥 Hot / ❄️ Cold: Detects if a player is performing significantly above/below their season average in the last 5 games.
- 🏠 Home Advantage: Highlights players who perform significantly better at home.
- 🛡️ Defensive Matchup: Warns you if the opponent has a top-5 defense against the player’s position.
- 📊 Matchup History: Shows how the player has performed historically against the selected opponent.
📉 Historical Odds & CLV
Visualize the market sentiment for your selected prop.- Line Movement: See how the odds have shifted leading up to the game.
- CLV (Closing Line Value): Compare the current line to the closing line of previous games.
🎯 Custom Betting Line
Enter a specific Betting Line (e.g., 25.5 Points) to instantly see:- Hit Rate: Percentage of games over/under that line.
- Visual Reference: A line drawn on all charts to visualize success/failure.
Using the Lab
- Select a Mode: Choose Player, Team, or Correlation.
- Apply Filters: Select Player, Prop Type, Date Range, and Opponent.
- Enter Line: (Optional) Input a betting line to check hit rates.
- Review Insights: Check the auto-generated insights for key trends.
- Analyze Charts: Use the interactive charts to confirm your thesis.
